Understanding the Power of Love

6ediboLove has been on my mind lately (other than reason of Β me being a hopeful romantic) I am finding myself getting in some deep discussions about love lately. I was watching a youtube video of Donna Devane, who likes to talk about consciousness at The Barefoot GuruΒ and decided to engage in conversation. Check it out:

I made reference to the movie, The Green Mile. I’m not sure if you guys have seen that movie. There was this murder and rape of these two little girls and this gentle giant named John Coffy had gotten arrested for it because he was the last person seen on the crime. This man had the gift of clairvoyance and empathy and told the police that the real killer and used the little girls love for each other to kill them. It was quite a moving scene.

Love is very powerful, I said on Facebook the other day…

“your love can change someone’s destiny”. Good or bad, it affects your life and others around you. Β But people do some stupid things for love, so at what point is love a bad thing? Is love ever a bad thing? But there’s also fear and like a shadowy byproduct, it’s always following love. So maybe it’s not really love that keeps people in bad situation but the fear of loses someone or something that’s the culprit.

All in all, while it seems mainstream media would like us to focus on our fears to control our actions and decisions, I believe that if we focus on our love and not our fear then we fair off better.

What do you guys think? Chime in…
